NOTES FROM THE WORKSHOP | APRIL

Untitled (Children with Sparklers in Provincetown) ca. 1958. Robert Frank. Gelatin silver print.

Growing up here, there and everywhere - England, Banglasdesh, India and North America to name a few - clothing designer Allegra Moorehead has learned to embrace a venturesome life.

From a young age she expressed this through her hands. Understanding an eclectic mix of environments through drawing, wood craft and leather work.

Although moving around gave a broad perspective on the different ways we live together, a sense of homeland always felt ungraspable. Until she found herself back in the UK and felt the call to her grandmother's roots in West Cornwall. A rugged landscape that offered the strongest sense of home compared to any other place in the British Isles.

Out of this discovery, we are excited to introduce her latest collection of 'Nogiworks'.

An exploration of Allegra's maternal lands and what it means to be part of it. Realised in 4 entirely hand stitched sheepskin garments that follow the lines of granite rock formations and ever changing weather...
