Proudly introducing Nogiworks, a collection of heirloom sheepskin garments by Allegra Moorehead.

Four one-off pieces inspired by Manda Scott’s retelling of the story of Boudicca, the Celtic traditions of pre-Roman Britain and Allegra’s own maternal West Cornwall heritage. Each one is imbued with a deep sense of time and what it means to feel rooted in our rugged landscape.

With an entirely hand stitched process Allegra works in rhythm with natural materials and her surrounding granite moorlands. Hand punching every hole and slowly weaving the hides together with beeswaxed cotton thread. The ritual of the process and wonder as they take form honours the animal that they came from and rediscovers a richness in our clothing that has become lost.

Beautifully finished, wearable artwork that can safely return to the ground after more than a lifetime.
