ABOUT

Designer + maker Ali Goodman is the founder of Francli Craftwear. She has been working with leather for over 10 years with a practice rooted in the joy of handcraft and value of material provenance.

The Francli workshop is renowned for minimal and beautiful utility goods inspired by their stunning coastal landscape. Making canvas and leather bags that are crafted with care, chosen with consideration and used for a lifetime.

This workshop is designed for somebody with no prior experience in leatherwork. You will be guided through the process of making The Ramblers Pocket, a signature Francli design. Along the way, Ali will share her experience of working and designing with leather, including hide selection, the tanning process, and her design philosophy.

ABOUT FALMOUTH

The Southwest coastal town of Falmouth is a source of inspiration for artists, makers, musicians, sailors and boatbuilders. A place to find solace, sanctuary and escape among the inlets and creeks of the Fal estuary and the coves and cliffs of the dramatic Cornish coastline.

With a pretty, historical town centre that has an open, laid back vibe, it is a popular destination to discover artistic boutiques, independent breweries, curious vintage shops and delicious local food.
