INSPIRATION : STUDIO SWINE

We became familiar with Studio Swine through the "Sea Chair" project, a short film exposing the issue of waste plastic found in the worlds oceans.

It has been made to represent the discovery of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch in the North Pacific Ocean; an ocean gyre containing a variety of marine debris such as palegic plastics and chemical sludge. It is undetermined in size due to variations in the density of plastics.

Since its discovery in 1997, five more have been discovered in the worlds oceans.

In the film all the plastic uncovered by one fishing boat is then made into a stool.
