Introducing canvas + leather Essentials, inspired by the river passages of our home

The Francli workshop is nestled between the Falmouth estuary and Helford river passage; magical rias with wandering creeks and coves. A place of calm and clear waters, framed by ancient woodland and sloping fields.

It’s a landscape that’s become deeply special to us. Our local escape and tonic.

For both solo retreats of silent reflection - washed into perspective with an icy dive. And joyous gatherings of shared food, laughter, rock hopping and, when the time is right, phosphorescent bathing.

Simple pleasures for everyone, in all weathers, all year around.

It’s these memories, held in rock, stone, sand and woodland, that’s inspired our canvas and leather collection.

Made with hardy dry-waxed canvas woven in Dundee and traditional oak bark leather tanned in Devon. Each and every piece designed, cut, sewn and finished in Cornwall.

Minimal and beautiful carry goods that are easily worn, and not so easily worn out.

‘When I think of home, I picture the Helford beaches. That’s where I feel most connected to myself, my friends and the greater natural world that lies beyond the river mouth. Sometimes an intimate hideout. Often a spontaneous, communal event.

And all of these experiences are effortless and free. Nothing high tech. In fact, hardly anything needed at all. Just meet there and be there.
