BEN HARRIS: BOATBUILDER DUNGAREES

Brief:

  • Workwear for traditional wooden boat building

  • Protective against dust, putty and paint

  • Flexible and comfortable for clambering around the frame

  • Strength and durability is paramount, especially when lifting big pieces of raw wood

  • Function is of the upmost importance, but a hint of smart style would be nice too...

Solution:

A hardy pair of boatbuilding dungarees tailored to Ben. A design evolved from Ben’s previous, failed workwear and, with Alva in mind, constructed along the lines inspired by the quay punts of Falmouth.
